From ancient cave churches to underground cities and fairy-tale valleys, today’s tour is designed to show you the best of Cappadocia’s wonderland, tailored for comfort and discovery.

Your journey begins in Devrent Valley, also known as Imagination Valley, where nature’s creativity is on full display. Here, the volcanic landscape has sculpted whimsical shapes—animals, humans, even mythical creatures—that ignite the imagination.

There are no churches or castles here, only rocks that tell stories in silence. It’s the perfect setting to ease into the surreal charm of Cappadocia.

Next, we step into Pasabag, or Monks Valley, where towering fairy chimneys rise like sentinels from the earth. These formations, with their dual or triple mushroom caps, are among the most iconic in Cappadocia.

Your guide will explain how hermit monks once carved their secluded cells into these natural towers, seeking spiritual isolation amidst stone spires.

We continue to Cavusin, an ancient settlement etched into the hillside. Explore abandoned cave homes and churches such as the Church of St. John the Baptist, one of the oldest in the region. From the upper terraces, take in spectacular views of Red Valley and imagine what life was like in these once-thriving stone dwellings.

Cross the Kizilirmak River, the longest in Turkey, and arrive in Avanos, a town that has mastered the art of pottery since Hittite times. Visit a local workshop where artisans shape red clay into stunning ceramics using traditional kick wheels. You can even try your hand at crafting a piece of your own. 

After lunch, descend into the lesser-known but equally fascinating Ozkonak Underground City. Smaller and more intimate than its famous counterparts, this multi-level city features unique trap-door systems and ventilation shafts.

As you explore the narrow tunnels and hidden rooms, you’ll uncover stories of ancient defense and communal life during times of invasion.

Step into the soul of Cappadocia at the Goreme Open-Air Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wander through a complex of rock-cut chapels, refectories, and monasteries decorated with vibrant Byzantine frescoes.

Each chapel tells a story of early Christian faith carved into the volcanic stone, preserved for centuries within these natural sanctuaries.

We ascend to Uchisar Castle, the highest natural point in Cappadocia. This towering rock fortress offers commanding views over the valleys below.  It’s a breathtaking moment of reflection and perspective.

Before returning to Urgup, pause at Pigeon Valley, known for the countless pigeon houses carved into the cliffs.

These birds once served an important role in agriculture, and their story is carved into the very fabric of the valley. The lookout point provides a stunning final glimpse of Cappadocia’s dramatic terrain.
